In America justice is based on how much you can afford to spend on lawyers. This is particularly true when fighting the Government.
The business owned by my wife and I had a valid case against the IRS. Our lawyer told us that we would win … eventually … but only after the IRS sent battalion after battalion of lawyers at us at taxpayer expense. It would cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars up front and years to settle a $5,000 case.

In a recent real life case, a lawyer was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his wife and son.
He still has upcoming trials for multiple cases of fraud and embezzlement, but at this point, I doubt if he cares much.

Remember folks (for those whom it applies) EVERY WORD is recorded to be used against you later at a time of the convenience of the prosecution.
