No unpopped kernels and the hard bits of broken shell are all located in one place. And, if you cook it in a pan, that should fix the microwave-breaking problem. This could be the best popcorn ever.
Many years ago, back when people repaired appliances instead of buying a new one, one of my grandmother’s neighbor fixed microwaves. He once told me that microwave popcorn was hard on microwaves. The small volume of the bag made the microwave work harder in some way. It’s been over 30 years, I don’t remember exactly how he put it.
One bag wouldn’t destroy a microwave, just wear it out faster. Not that the info stopped me from using microwave popcorn.
Off Topic, but does anyone know why, when you open the page and see X number of comment responses, that even after you read and dismiss them, they keep showing up on the page. If you click the back button they all reappear but even when you leave the page and come back… there they are… all waiting for you to read them again. I realize mine are all web gems worthy of reading again, but still….
But for finishers, you’ll need a lot of hot melted butter to slip that giant single popcorn out of the destroyed microwave. —And, to be sure, a new microwave. Talk about expensive popcorn!

I think even Orville would be against the destruction of the microwave, and he was a stove n’ saucepan only guy.

How’d you like to bite into that little devil in a bowl of others if it didn’t pop?

I had a dream where I dried out a potato and microwaved it and it popped like this.
