Vacation? I vaguely recall hearing of such a thing years ago.

C’mon Brutus! At least take him to Cedar Point. They’re not kids forever!

Look at the bright side Wilberforce, you won’t be sitting in the back seat bored and wondering ‘are we there yet?’ Go out and play with your friends. Create your ideal vacation with them.

I haven’t gone on vacation since 2008 to assist my mother. I took the opportunity to discover areas of my city, Turin (Italy), that I knew little about.

I’m on a permanent working vacation. I’m retired and have a never ending and always growing honey-do list.

Unfortunately my brother’s kids grew up like this. I took mine everywhere.

Right now, for us, going into the back yard, sitting at the little cafe table and watching the hummingbirds at the feeder is our current “get away.”

If you fly somewhere you have to deal with airlines and crazies on the plane nowadays. Driving somewhere cost a fortune in gas money and motels. Restaurants get the rest of your money.

3 weeks paid vacation time that has to be used annually, only a 3 day carry over each year. Take family on a wonderful vacation to my wife’s generational homeland. Come home exhausted but relaxed. Enter my office and three weeks’ worth of caseload activity are piled upon it untouched by those who were to cover for me. Following that year, I began to schedule Mondays and Fridays off late May to early September…with 3 paid holidays in the mix I wound up with enough time left to take Christmas Eve and Boxing Day off every year as well.

Brutus needs to lighten up. Does he realize the inestimable value of a man’s hug to a young boy like his son? Give Wilbur a few of those hugs and vacation will be all the time.

Wilberforce will be home all summer with his mom, who can arrange some day trips for fun.

At least the son doesn’t have to go to school during the summer. We never had a family vacation when I was growing up. Real big family and really poor family. Made up for it in adulthood. I’m sure there will be some family fun times during the Summer, unless Lenora rears her ugly head……

I lived in a very pleasant city that had a “stay-cation” campaign with the slogan “Living la vida local.”

Brutus just pitch a tent in the backyard and let Wilberforce pretend he’s camping out.

I never had a vacation as a child. My parents could not afford it. They had a hard enough time feeding us, yet I would not change my childhood for anything. Two great parents who did the best they could and siblings were as much friends as siblings.
