Come on, don’t go around saying “books are for nerds.” What a LOUSY message for your main character to be promoting. Calvin, who I sometimes suspect you’re clumsily trying to imitate (& wrongheadedly – you totally don’t get what made C & Hobbes great), was a lover of books. Same thing with Huey Freeman of The Boondocks, if that’s who you’re trying to emulate.
