Although I have seen some comics with Snoopy’s brother Spike , And since I have known Peanuts since 1965’s A Charlie Brown Christmas show, I have never heard of Belle! Had to Google it. Wikipedia said Snoopy’s sister Belle made her first appearance on June 28, 1976, and since today’s strip was published on June 22, 1976, that means Belle hasn’t debuted yet!

I love that not only is Woodstock is included in the strip but that Linus is interacting with him. I wonder if it’s a throwback to when Linus used to pat birds on the head.

In ‘I Want a Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown’, Charlie told Rerun that Belle lived in Kansas City. Didn’t know that was canon till now.

First thing I thought of was ‘The Memphis Belle", but that wouldn’t be there. I wonder if the Belle is still around?
