Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Agreed. Thereâs no knowing which strips GOCOMICS has in their archives. Remember back in the 70s, they were not even thinking about digital rightsâŚ
On at least two sites, they are re-running this same strip this morning.
Yeah, go back to the oldest that GoComics has and move forward. It wouldnât be as good as the strips from the 70s and 80s, but it would be a start.
Personally, Iâm wondering if this is her way of telling us to âget a lifeâ (or since thereâs a lot of us, to âget a whole bunch of livesâ) and move on, but I doubt it. Hopefully, she likes her fans.
It look like Cathy was drawn different then, than yesterday.
The eyes are different.
I like it keep up with the older ones.
Looks more like my Cathy cake pan I have.
Iâd like to see the strips from the 70âs but it seems the oldest GoComics has is from March 11 1996. I hope it doesnât jump around. One day sheâs married to Irving the next sheâs dating Alex ( I think that was the personal trainerâs name.)
Ya, I didnât hear anything about classics, but Iâm glad to have them. If I didnât miss the comics yesterday, I probably wouldnât have looked at Cathy today, thinking she was done.
I wish gocomics would post the original print dates like comics.com does. I especially enjoy seeing them on Peanuts, which are now still currently running from 1963, and are older than I am, but fit right in today.
Cathy reruns will make us remember all the great stuff we did in the 80âs. Especially when she hits the mall.
Itâs really the choice of the syndicates, I would say. Theyâve already got license to her existing work. Theyâll definitely continue to use it online. In print, they may very well retire the strip to make room for other print stripsâŚ
But she really canât complain. Sheâll continue to draw a paycheck for online usage of her materialâŚ

I guess we donât have a say in this, but it would be nice to see some early Cathy strips, like from the 1970âs

there is no reason not to put the original published date on the âtoon.
It would be very nice if âtheyâ did.

Um, folksâŚ
look CLOSE -
Thatâs a PRICE!
Thereâs a DOLLAR SIGN in front of that 99 -
$99
runar over 14 years ago
They probably chose 1999 because the calendar for that year is the same as for this year. That way, they wonât have mismatched dates.
WebSpider over 14 years ago
Good eyes, RadioTom
Indeed, that IS a dollar sign. So it is NOT a year 99.
JosePeterson over 14 years ago
if you click the calendar button above the comic and thru there you go to 10/4/99 youâll see itâs this cartoon, so it is from â99
summerdog86 over 14 years ago
OK, I blew up the pic and do not see a $ sign anywhere. The sign saysâŚ.
FALL â99
(last L missing and assumed)

Jose Peterson - good detective work there, youâre right on.

If you put in the 1999 date, then GoComics has this strip in colour, but the rerun is B&W.
