I used to pay a kid a quarter (long ago, it would be something good at the snack bar) to blow my big air mattress up. What would be the going rate today, I wonder. Five bucks? Ten?

Overall inflation is down and the Fed is pausing interest rate hikes. Food prices are being affected by droughts, floods and frosts. GA peach crop is gonna be much lower. Same with CA tomato crop. Feed prices being higher has caused meat prices to rise. It isn’t gonna get better either.

This is one of the few times it would be nice to have a politician around.

Shop vac, put hose on the output side, find some pipes to reduce the fitting tape on the big hose, an air compressor fitting on the other to insert into the pool valve.

Our local gas station always had a free air pump. Recently they started to charge us one dollar to use the air pump. Now that’s inflation.

I didn’t think comic strips were allowed to speak the truth about the economy (well, unless they attributed it to something other than the actual root causes).
