The only mirrors that I know that alter your appearance are in the “Fun House” at the county fair. And they don’t alter your appearance in a flattering way.
The venue I work at host Ballet among other things. The catering room has mirrors the whole length of one wall. Your reflection appears distorted in them. I think it’s so the ballerinas will see themselves and think they’re fat and not eat!
my high school physics teacher told us not to look in old mirrors because they make every pore and blemish look huge, something teenagers definitely don’t need. it must have left an impression on me because I remember it 45 years later.

Pretty soon there will be artificially intelligent mirrors that will make the years disappear, along with a large chunk of your hard-earned cash.

My mirrors are fine from a distance, but I don’t know who that person is when I’m up close trying to put on mascara.

Mirrors? Mine fogged over when I hit 65 and haven’t recovered.
