funny, i’ve never had the feeling with a dog that it owned me.Cats, on the other hand, definitely own their human and not the other way round.

Finally, one that is sweet and normal! Very nice :-)@watmiwori, there’s nothing about the dog owning him. It says the dog saved him. And if a cat (or any animal) owns you, then you’re doing it wrong. It’s supposed to be a mutual love, not an ownership. I’ve never had a cat “own” me.Good morning, Aaron! It’s nice to hear that you’re doing well. :-) Good afternoon, GsMom, Kfgrrl and Billy! Hello to all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today.

Kinda makes me wanna hug Irving, since Cathy’s not even thinking about doing so. Little Muttley Beagle rescues me daily by getting the mayhem of my overnight shift off my shoulders.

Morning gobblinup. Afternoon Mom! Hi Susan when you get here. Maybe Kfg will be here tonight. I’ll check back before I go to work tonight. Meantime, to sleep … perchance to dream.

Uh huh! I found Kfg on yesterday’s strip. I do make a habit of looking back at the previous day too.

This is one of the best Cathy comics I’ve seen in a while!

I totally identify with Irving’s “I feel like she’s the one who saved *me*” statement because that’s what happened to me. We got our dog only 4 days before my dad died of lung cancer 9 years ago. Having to supervise, take care of and train a puppy during that period of time really helped me deal with the loss and sadness by giving me something else to focus on instead of just sitting around and dwelling on my grief. She helped me better than any therapist could and she’s been a real joy to our family ever since!

Good afternoon, Aaron, Billy, gobblinup, Susan, Rina, kfg and all the other Cathy nuts joining us today. Nice to “see” you all here! ;-)

Electra and friend Aaron would get along just right.

Hello folks. Just checking in while my dinner heats up. Aaron’s famous lasagna. Yum-o! :-)

Oh I guess I missed the lasagna… Sounds yummy. Anything left over? Lasagna is always better the second day anyway… :-)

Funny, today’s strip just doesn’t seem to be a real Cathy one, maybe because they’re both saying the right things for a change.
