Because women insisted on being treated the same as men, Cathy, which means that the rules for dating have changed because the playing field is supposed to be even now. Why should men still be required to make the first move in the relationship? Isn’t it just a little sexist of you to expect Irving to ask YOU out on a date in order to get your relationship back on track?

I agree, A S. Don’t be so grumpy and bitter, guys. My take on it is that Cathy is pushing something that doesn’t look like it’s there. In usual Cathy fashion, she is misreading things and maybe he’s not that into her. Sure, we know that she eventually marries him, but it sure was a long, rocky road to get there. KFG don’t forget to check yesterday’s comments. Still shaking my head. Gotta love the guy though. He’s now in the decision-making stage to see if he’ll do the surgery. It’ll be on Monday if he says yes. Lots of downtime though afterward. He’ll be staying out there through the weekend. (I hate home-alone).

Cathy must have forgotten what it’s like in the first days and weeks after bringing a new dog into your heart and home. Everything and everyone else are easily forgotten!!!!! ;-)

As you can probably tell by my chocolate cake avatar, it’s my birthday today. Wish I were about 10 years younger but it’s better than the alternative! ;-)

I would think it would be an easy decision, but maybe there are factors like risk and recovery. Either way, I’m sure it’ll all end up fine.
