Transcript:
Cathy: Irving's on his way! Mop up the paw prints! De-lint the furniture! Make it look like dog-sitting was a breeze!! ...Why? Every time a woman makes a job look effortless, she adds to the unrealistic expectations for all women. It's time to be worshipped for what we do, not for how tidy we make it all look! Irving: Wow. What a dump! Cathy: But a triumphant, self-respecting dump!

Iâm not condoning her dumpy house, but she should at least make an effort. Now heâs going to wonder what sort of conditions his beloved dog has been kept in. Call the SPCA! ;-)Good morning, Susan and Aaron! You reminded me, Susan, that I forgot to wish everyone Happy Pi Day yesterday! Oh well, never too late to celebrate Pi Day with some pie, right?Hello to GsMom, Billy, KFG, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

She finally became a realist. It wonât last very long though. Once Irving leaves sheâll be back to her usual bizarro self, the one we all know and love.

Good morning, all you Cathy fans out there! Actually, I think Irving should clean her house as a big thank you for taking care of his beloved dog. ;-) Well âŠ. I can dream, canât I?

I scramble to clean the house whenever I am getting guests over, regardless of whether theyâre male or female, family or friend.

If I left my beloved dog with someone I thought I could trust to properly take care of her while I was out of town for a few days and then I came back to this mess . . . Iâd be like âWhat the HELL was I THINKING?!â and that person would never be allowed to watch my little baby again. Irvingâs absolutely right. What a dump!
Â
K.F.G.: Youâve got a lot of concerned friends here wondering where you are and if youâre okay. Let us know soon!

Funny how if a girlâs dwelling is messy, its a dump, but if a guyâs dwelling is messy its boys being boys. Sheesh.

Oh yeah baby, Iâm with Mom! on this one. Irving, take your Vivian and run as fast as you can. I bet she doesnât do that at home since messes like that take at least two raucous puppies. Little Muttley Beagle isnât at that level yet.
Â
saxie5 made us laugh. Billy and I are boys being boys, but our home is very neat. We hate clutter and we despise coming into a room thatâs anything like Cathyâs. Makes me shudder. I take it that you âhad to be thereâ to understand Susanâs humor. My vintage movie knowledge is sadly low, though Kate Hepburn standards are within our realm of knowledge.
Â
Hazmat (hazardous materials, in English) training is going well. Been there / done that before. Itâs an every two year training item, depending on what we need for knowledge. Iâm updating my skills with dealing with all types of toxins and spills and how to fight them properly as a fireman. The reason Iâm blind in one eye is getting a face full of a solvent that we should have put out with foam. It was being illegally stored with legally stored construction material. Weâre supposed to have an up-to-date inventory of all warehouse stores in and around DC. Losing my best friend on the squad, only because he went in first (I was right at his back), was heart-wrenching. He died of respiratory distress because the stuff got into his lungs. It actually ate through our masks and air hoses. I got at maybe half of what Jon got. It was the last time of several times he kept me out of full-on danger. I asked yesterday about specifics of that particular solvent. Weâll get an upclose and personal look at it Wednesday. Itâs gonna be a little weird staring into the eye of the beast.

Three words that should not be used together: triumphant self-respecting dump. My Mom wouldnât fall for that. Actually, Cathyâs mom wouldnât either. Geez.
Â
Hi evening/late night Cathyites. Aaron and I are spending the evening hooking up our new 1080p Apple TV streaming box. (I added âstreaming boxâ because Apple TV implies an actual HD TV which it doesnât. Yet). It was a gift from some of our GU mates for Aaronâs birthday.

lightenup re: your note from last night â might be like finding a needle in a haystack. KFG is definitely missed, but Iâm not sure if sheâs offline for a reason or because sheâs bummed or even waaay busy. ?? I dunno. Iâd love to see her come back though.

Hi Cathyites!!
@Soonergal â Ooooooooo â such a great idea!!
@Saxie5 â for guys itâs a âbachelor padâ
Wasnât âBeware the Ides of Marchâ from a betrayal of Julius Caesar? E tu Brutus? Or am I confusing it with something else?
@Aaron â I cringe at what happened to your eye and to your friend Aaron! I hope the training makes it never happen again.
@Billy â Gee what a nice gift for you guys!!
Looks like Cathyâs abandoned cleaning efforts just made the situation worse than it already was. That seems to happen to me a lot â whenever I start cleaning, things just get worse.

As a comic character, Cathy just has an uncanny ability to make the eyes roll. Seriouslyâdoes she practice how to do this? (Thatâs why I love her, though.)
Hello, everyone.
