This re-run is dated. My 20 something son and his friends are into wearing suits or at least sports coats. I think the guys discovered a well dressed man is a chick magnet.

My last dressup was the black-tie affair in January. At work we’re business casual. I don’t wear a lab coat though — too cliche. Aaron gets the best of it though with his spiffy EMS dark blue uniform. On the other end of that scale is the two ton firefiighter gear. Mr. P. has little to complain about. At least this is FINALLY good enough for an eye roll.

And his point is? I know, don’t wear this stuff in my office, ever! The second look is something a certain recent Presidential candidate has been wearing. Funny how things come back in “style.” Mr. Pinkley is wearing what skateboarders now wear in the summer. I would be cheering, “hah, hah,” because he is on the way to “getting it.”

Isn’t the saying “dress the way you want to be”, or something like that? My husband is very casual and wore casual clothes to work when he was a techie. But now that he’s in management, he dresses professionally (although he refuses to wear a tie unless someone is getting married or died).Since it’s after noon, hello to Susan, Billy, gmforde and the other morning posters!Looking forward to seeing the rest later… Aaron, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal and all the other Cathy nuts!GsMom, hasta manana! And KFG, we still hope you come by to visit and hope all is well!Thank you to everyone that listened and posted yesterday!! Lightenup jr. is doing fine today and we’re all proud of her. :-)@ Billy – As always, you are sweet as can be and say things so nicely. You are wonderful to say what you did because most adults would not say that a child is a hero, so she was blushing and at a loss for words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. :-)@ kittycatpawsare – You are most definitely not “butting in” – we’re always happy to hear from everyone and you seem like a regular at this point. You are very sweet as well, and lightenup jr. really enjoyed your post. :-)Everyone here is so nice and I really love the community we have. Feel free to express how you feel as long as it’s done with respect and kindness, so we all can feel comfortable coming here to relax and enjoy! ☮♥☺ (peace, love & happiness) to all

I work in IT, where we don’t dress up too much because our business casual dress code has loopholes and isn’t strongly enforced. After Memorial Day, we will be instating our first summer dress code, which permits T-shirts, jeans, shorts, and sandals everyday, so we’ll be even less dressed up than usual!

So I’m ‘spiffy’ in my EMS uniform? Billy thinks I’m even spiffier in my dress uniform. Like I was born to it. Well, yeah, at least no one could compare me to Mr. P. I hate flip flops and sandals. I’m the barefoot boy 12 months of the year, even at our folks in NH. Mom wonders how I can stand the cold floors. Easy, CMT — I can’t feel heat or cold. Billy told on me recently when he said I’m still wearing my college Nike’s (red swoosh on white — impossible to find these days). He said they’re ‘out of the box new’ which is about right. Um, cause I are the barefoot boy. :-D

lightenup we’re happy to hear lightenup jr is doing fine today. A lesson learned is never a bad thing. I doubt she’ll be bullied the next time. I was once talked off 1st base when I was a kid who didn’t know better (weren’t we all?). The older kid said he’d tag me out if I stood there. So I made a run for it. And got tagged out. Duh! That is my 2nd worst dopey tale. The first is, in college, I utter the immortal words ”What’s a wedgie?” The 2nd time someone did that to me (back to being a kid again), I was ready for ‘em. I did leave the base and ran like the wind to second base. Problem solved. lightenup can teach daughter a couple of tricks of her own I bet.

I too loved Billy’s comment last night to the little gal. He’s a natural around kids. Me too, but he’s got a certain style all his own. His warm heart shines brightly, just like last night.

Yes!!! So glad to see the Sunday comics back!!!!! Hi other Cathyites — I’m sure we’re all glad about this one.

Who would even notice what a Mr. Pinkley guy was wearing?

I’m a non-conformist, so I make my own style, but I’ve only had complaints back in the days when women were always supposed to be dressed in skirts or dresses. Got in trouble once over cullottes (sp?). Now they’re called capris or crops and everybody wears them with no problem.

p.p.s. Ooh I think I figured out that some combination of question marks and exclamation marks makes italics, but I’m too tired to figure it out…
