That’s my clothes budget for nearly 12 months, not including sneakers or boots. Don’t do it Cathy, you’ll have buyers remorse.

Ooooooooh, KFG is trying to get through the interdimensional doorway. Grab her hand lightenup and pull, pull, pull! :-D

Morning Susan when you arrive. Hello fellow morning crew. I’m about read to sleep.

Deja vu all over again. This time it’s Obama’s fault. :-/ I have a hard time buying anything for a C-note, much less over 2 C-notes. Even if I ever get more money than I would know what to do with, I wouldn’t be spending it on overpriced clothes. That’s the price you pay for being a fashionista, I guess. Cathy’s gotta have a hobby. When the tough gets going, the tough go shopping. lol

Even if she does spend all that money on one tank top, she’ll just return it after it has ridden in the trunk of her car for a month and she has spend 30 days and night agonizing over buying it in the first place.

You know, I’ve got to jump in here and ask if we could not make this a political finger-pointing strip. The president usually gets the blame, but we also have to consider Congress, Wall Street, consumer greed, the global economy, etc. So, rather than getting everyone all riled up, can we please keep it focused on shopping? I hear enough political talk where I don’t want to hear it more. Thanks!

KFG, inquiring minds want to know what you ate that gave you food poisoning. So we can avoid it in the future.

KFG LOVE THAT YOU’RE BACK (even kinda sorta maybe back!!) My first concern was that you got suspended for a while on goComics. You know, because you’re so shy and introverted, quiet as a mouse, and a woman of few words. :-D

I’m wondering if you saw the interdimensional doorway open.

Hello, all! After lurking for a couple of months, I just wanted to come out of hiding for a minute to say how much fun it is to be here. I enjoy reading a variety of comics and comments, but I have to say that you “Cathyites” have one of the most civilized and friendly sites on go.comics. I’ll go back to lurking now, but I may “swim” over again to comment another day!

Unlike friend Aaron that’s my budget for about 6 months, but also not including sneakers and boots. Tell the crazy sales ladies to go be crazy with someone else.

Hmmmm, funny, Aaron seemed so normal when I saw him this morning and a while ago. If he’s seeing (or being part of) inter-dimensional doorways, I’m kinda scared. Nah, he’s fine. I’ll know for sure when I finish searching the townhouse top to bottom. IDD, are you there? Hullo?

hendelca what you said is what we’d all agree with. Never had food poisoning but I know a small handful who have. Nasty! Here’s a hint to get that (I assume) paragraph break that you were looking for: use & n b s p ; (non-breaking space, but leave out the spaces between each letter) with a blank line before and after.

If our country’s economy depended upon me buying a $230.00 tank top to keep it going then everyone needs to prepare for some really bad times ahead . . . because I refuse to spend more than $6 or $7 _*max*_on one!

Hooray! They finally got the Sunday “Cathy” comic restored and things are back to normal again . . . or at least as “normal” as Cathy’s able to get anyhow!!!!! ;-)

Hooray again! Glad to see our good friend K.F.G. is back in the house!!!!! It’s about time, young lady! We’ve all really missed you!!!!! Sorry about the sick computer and food poisoning though. That really sucks (I know, because I’ve had both those things happen to me too) but we’re so glad to have you back with us all the same!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Lightenup: I’m so sorry your daughter had such a rough day on Saturday but I’m glad she’s feeling better now. Learning experiences can be painful sometimes — especially at such a tender young age — but next time she’ll do better and she’ll never have the same dirty trick pulled on her again. Meanwhile, she has my deepest admiration when it comes to the game of chess. Someone tried to teach me how to play it once and it was like they were speaking a foreign language to me — I just couldn’t understand it so she must be extremely smart to be so good for a child so young!

Hi, Aaron!!!!! Even though we’ve never met . . . you’re one of my most favorite people in the whole world!!!!! It’s a real pleasure “talking” to you (most) everyday. :-D

A big hello to you, Dr. Billy, lightenup, K.F.G. (welcome back once again!), Susan, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, lindz.coop, soonergal, summerdog and all the rest of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, good to “see” you all! :-)

@ KFG – Hopefully my concern is viewed the right way… as a friend and not a crazy stalker. ;-) It just wasn’t the same without you, and I would feel that way about anyone else who posts here! Besides, it just wasn’t like you to just stop posting all of a sudden, and I guess I was worried because you were in Chicago, which isn’t exactly Mayberry.Anyway, I’m glad you’re on the mend and I hope your computer gets fixed soon also. I’ve had food poisoning several times unfortunately. In fact, I think I’m going through a bout now because my stomach has been really hurting since Friday, although today is the first day that it seems better. Not a fun thing to go through…@ GsMom – Thanks for the nice things that you said about my daughter, and for being such an awesome friend and sweet person. It’s always a pleasure when we hear from you. I remember reading your posts a while ago, and thinking how much you and I usually agree and how nice it would be to get to know you better! So cool that we have (as much as we can)!Which reminds me… Billy and Aaron, I’ll be in MD/DC for the first week of April visiting my mom for spring break, so let me know if you want to meet for coffee or anything.

Hi Cathyites, and especially welcome back KFG. So sorry you were so very sick — what in the world did you eat (or do you even know what it was?). Hope your computer gets fixed soon too.

I do remember when we were first being encouraged to buy our way out of the recession in the early uh-ohs. It never works and lack of buying wasn’t what got us into the mess in the first place. Glad to see that Cathy is having the same reaction I would have in that situation.
