Irving: Why don't you call Kim back right now? Cathy: Kim doesn't count cell phone callbacks. Irving: What?? Cathy: Kim says it doesn't count as a callback if I'm doing something else at the same time. I'll still owe her a call. Cindy will count cell phone call-backs, but only if they're made from indoors, not from the car. Joann is ok with cell calls from anywhere, but has zero tolerance for call-waiting beep-ins. Marcia is ok with call-waiting on my home phone, but goes berserk if it happens on the road. Carol will take a car-to-car call, but not a mall-to-car call...Sue is ok with mall-to-car, but insulted by deli-to-car. Jane and Pat are offended by activity of any kind, and will hang up if they so much as hear the freezer door open as we talk. Irving: Forget it! I'll call Kim! What's her number? Cathy: There's no room in my brain for any number anymore.

Who remembers when A Phone [Is] Just a Phone????

She should be grateful the friends don’t tolerate talking while driving. Cellphones automatically keep a list of numbers that you called. He could always look it up. It’s a good thing she doesn’t text! DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE AT THE SAME TIME. It’s even more dangerous than just talking and in many places it’s not legal. You may save yourself a ticket and somebody’s life at the same time. Besides, it can wait.

Someone in all that mess are a few grains of truth. Calls to the car and from the car, however, are verboten! Listen to me people, or Aaron will give you a stern lecture. He’s seen what happens in texting while driving or talking while driving. Bad. Very very bad.
LMB and I are going for a bike ride before the rain comes in. See y’all later . . .

Now I’m just happy if I’m not being called from a restroom!

Laughing at lilycat! Me too!
Can you imagine riding in a car with Cathy when she is on a cell phone call to one of her 50 best girlfriends? You would be in danger of ending up wrapped around a tree! Her attention to the road would go out the car window while she was yakking to a friend.

Actually, according to the information I found, talking on a cell phone and driving is only illegal in 11 states and D.C. (excepting states whose laws are dependent on if the driver has a learner’s permit or is a teen driver).

Wow, all of those people are so easily offended and then they expect Cathy to keep track of it?? Seems pretty high maintenance, and very of them would last long these days. I’m with summerdog and lilycat… all I care about is not hearing the toilet flush! LOL!Good morning to Susan, gmforde and Billy! Hope you had a good bike ride, Billy! Not sure if jr will post today, but at the children’s sermon at church, the pastor hooked a leash to her to make a point. She was such a good sport about it. :-)Hello to Aaron, GsMom, KFG, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal, lippyfish, Mai Tai, Willi Nilli and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

Hi Cathyites!! My head exploded too!!
I can relate to Cathy. Now not only do I have to remember thousands of IDs & passwords, but I also have to remember everyone’s preferences. Luckily, I rarely use my cell phone for calls to friends, and only my hubby has the number. Otherwise I use the land line (and yes, I still have one for that purpose).
