Another one that makes me wonder why I like/follow this comic.

Appreciation for wild life and trying not to disturb it.

In reality, swans are very territorial and will attack and harass interlopers, just like geese.

This doesn’t look quit like a scene from Swan Lake. Where are the musicians? And all the pretty ballerinas?

While a vegetable platter is great for us humans, Swans have no teeth and prefer aquatic vegetation; however finely chopped greens, corn, and carrots are also appropriate… Steak is right out!

Mute swans are mean you’d better get outta there.

Who knew that Rose and Jimbo were party crashers?

What the “Flock?”

How on earth do they get in and out of those kayaks when the holes are only the size of their waists?

Just steer clear of the nest!

I don’t think that I’d want to get in the middle of a flock of swans. They’re rather aggressive.

The swans do not look disapproving.

Swans aren’t deep water birds, so why a kayak in shallow water?

Downtown Boston a great place to see them

Dry cat food will distract them. – Or attract in an approving way.

If it were real, they would be beating you senseless right now. You don’t mess with geese.

Swans can be really nasty! I’d keep moving if I were you!

Don’t go kayaking near swans. From a news article:

A man has drowned after being attacked by a swan, which knocked him out of his kayak and stopped him swimming to shore. So how dangerous are these graceful white birds?

Anthony Hensley, 37, worked for a company that provided swans to keep geese away from property.

On Saturday morning, the married father of two set out in a kayak across a pond at a residential complex in Des Plaines, just outside Chicago, where he was tending the birds.

One of the swans charged his boat, capsizing it, says Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart, whose deputies investigated the death.
