@KoolFunkyGrrl, wash your hands, don’t touch your eyes and mouth and don’t pick your nose! Hard things to follow, especially for kids and “boys”. ;)

I need an aspirin because Cathy’s mom is pretty much right. Too bad the apron says whack job.

Good morning Susan I have finally arrived. LMB and I get up early and go swimming or ride into town and back, which counts toward my recovery.

No lightenup yet? 11:00 a.m. Do you know where your lightenup is. Um, no. No we don’t. Out having fun no doubt. :-D

And overdue, so I’ll try this again:

    hi mom!

She’s right, though, apart from the apron thing. If you need it and you can afford it, buy it. If you don’t need it – leave it for somebody else! But the idea of paying out all that money for something that will never be yours – that’s just scary.

p.s. I read on the comments on Calvin that GsMom’s cousin passed, so I’m wondering if she’s busy with that. Either way, our thoughts are with you, GretchensMom! We hope you’re doing okay, and HUGS!

Cathy’s mom is so right about today’s state of affairs . . . too bad that apron she can’t seem to be parted from no matter where she is or what she’s doing (can you say Linus and his security blanket?!?) pretty much negates the whole thing to the point where you can’t take her seriously!!!!! Meanwhile, my mind is still reeling from that whole confusing spiel the car salesman gave Cathy yesterday while trying to get her to sign that ridiculous new car lease agreement! Hopefully she’ll take Nancy Reagan’s advice from a few years ago and . . . just . . . say . . . NO!!!!!!!!!!

    HI, AARON & DR. BILLY!!!!!

Aaron: Once again, yet another delicious-sounding recipe had to be bookmarked on my computer for the future with that yummy-looking Apple-Blueberry Turnover picture from Wednesday evening!!!!! ;-)

I’ve been missing all my “peeps” here this week! lightenup is correct. A cousin I grew up with passed away early Tuesday morning after a valiant 4-year battle with cancer (which is why my presence here has been so sporadic this week). But everything should be fairly normal for me schedule-wise from now on . . . at least until the next crisis hits anyhow!

Happy Friday afternoon, lightenup, lightenupjr., K.F.G., Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, mollie05, AnonaMona, soonergal, Willi Nilli, Bronzepony, simpsonfan2, Molly mcgee, GreggW, AndiJ, Hobbes (if you should happen to drop by) and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here today . . . and if you’re new here . . . WELCOME TO CATHY’S NUTHOUSE!!!!! ;-)

Pouring money into something that depreciates like a car is like tossing it down a hole. If you need a reliable car you change it every 5 years or so and then get a new one. Might as well just pay for the use you’re going to get out of it.

I dunno, I think he deserves a itty bitty break. Ok, break is over. Where was Mom when Cathy needed her yesterday? No aspirin for you buddy — you earned that headache and more.

I imagine leasing makes sense for some. I’m not one of them. Like lindz.coop I run my car into the ground and then buy a new one. I bought my 3rd Jetta only last year, which means mine last a good 10 years each. I have a sun roof on the new one so Aaron can moon people. Uh, no, that’s not right. I have a moon roof on this one so Aaron can . . . okay, quitting while I’m behind.

Thanks Mom (in NH) for the turnover care package!! :-P on Aaron. Brat. LMB make him run a couple laps around the yard. (It’s a BIG yard).

It’s often a good idea to buy a used but newish car (maybe a couple of years old). The price is usually lower because it’s used, but if it’s in good shape, it’s still newish.

Save an aspirin for me, too, car dude. But, be sure to save several for these nut jobs you’re currently dealing with. (Of course, I say that with love.)

    Happy Friday, all.

Hi Cathyites!! Yay!! Cathy’s mom has turned the tables on mr smoothie and now HE is the one that needs the aspirin.

Never lease — I save ahead so I can pay cash for my cars and then pay myself back for any difference that I have to take out of other savings.

Hey Billie — are you a little “behind” in the “mooning?”

G’sMom — so sorry to hear about your cousin. Cancer totally sucks!! I hope things can get back to normal for you.
