I think shorts at a wedding are only an option when you marry at the beach. And even then I would prefer a sharong or some fancy flower-power-dress. And never never flip flops (is this what these horrible shoes are called in english? It’s the word used here…)

rgcviper I agree with your comment last night that we Cathyites have the best discussion group on goComics. Someone would disagree. But 100% of the rest of us obviously agree with you. I’ve been here on goComics since Feb 2009, when Cathy was ‘live’. The reruns are better than ever with all you gals/guys here.

Shorts at a wedding is a bit too much, but in their case it makes perfect sense for the wall climb. I think this is why Cathy got invited to Alex’s wedding-to validate his existence. I’d be surprised if this marriage lasted more than 6 weeks. People wear almost anything for a ceremony these days. I am happy about that part, because it saves a lot of wasted money.

My day isn’t complete without coming by at least once, and you all are so wonderful!!@Molly – thanks for asking about my girls! They are both doing great! We’re busy with lots of things, but having a good time at the same time. Now that the weather is nice, they are outside as much as they can, which makes me happy too. :-)@GretchensMom – thanks for asking about the meeting! It wasn’t a great meeting unfortunately (but not surprisingly). The 3 usual neighbors spent most of the time complaining and trying to make us (the board) look like we’re incompetent dictators. It was insulting and nasty, but at least it didn’t last 2 hours like the last one did. Then, we took a vote and the new bylaws and covenants did not pass, mostly due to the 20 neighbors that did not vote (so they were counted as “no”). So we’re going to keep trying, but it is very wearing and I now don’t like 1/2 of my neighbors due to their behavior. I will never volunteer to help out with my neighborhood again unfortunately. No good deed goes unpunished and so on…

But now that the bride has actually met Cathy – what on Earth have they got left to talk about?

P.S. Those shorts . . . oh dear, those shorts!

@Aaron and rgcviper: love this group because of the comments on the strip AND the fact that we interact as friends! It’s usually the only place I post.

@lightenup: one of my neighbors used to stay all over people about the covenants, and now he has built a huge wheelchair ramp to his front door, and of course no one is giving him any grief about it.

@bronzepony: Here in the South, some people wear flip-flops all year long, even when it’s cold enough to wear warm jackets. I don’t get it.

@hendelca: I must have missed it; what kind of production are you planning?

Good Afternoon all. Athought she is happy that Alex told his bride all about her, it couldn’t be all good and she will be crying to Mom tomorrow. It’s cold and damp here in Kentucky today…good day to nap for a while!!

A care package from NH arrived today. It was delicious. :-D (Sshhhhh, don’t tell Billy)

LMB and I played soccer and he got one goal and one assist. The assist was for the opposing team and he still cheats. He’s now sleeping against my chest. I may actuallly win our race from the den down to the bedroom tonight.

Hi Cathyites!! Wow!! What an honor — to be the focal point of their couples therapy. Like I said last week — Go home Cathy!! Actually I think the bride/groom costumes are kinda cute.

lightenup — I’m sorry you are still having neighbor problems — been there and don’t care to revisit. I thought you got out of that job you were doing and that was mostly over.

So totally agree with all who say this is the nicest group of people commenting — and I am greatly appreciative of all those who keep it that way!!!
