Anyone seen the clip on the internet of the water buffalo using it’s horn to flip a tortoise right side up?

I’d like to know what John was doing (or trying to do) that put him in this position on his back. It looks like he must have been backing up and didn’t look to see where he was going (didn’t realize how close he was to that “cliff”?).

And where was D0okie bird all the time? What was he doing?

And … how did John get himself uprighted?

When I was in high school the young ladies would slather themselves in cooking oil (not sun tan lotion) and lie out to tan. Many were atrociously burned and I’m guessing some later developed skin cancer.

I worked as a swimming instructor and lifeguard in high school and in college, but I wore a t-shirt and the zinc cream on my nose.

Why wouldn’t the bird believe him? The bird himself has been burned as red as a stove hot plate!

With the air quality we have lately, we haven’t even seen the sun and I am not taking any long walks outside. Just long enough for my dog.

My brother did the opposite. He got a job as a lifeguard at our local pool so he could sit in the chair and look cool to the girls, but the sun bounced off the water all and burned the bottoms of his feet. He nearly died when he hopped down at the end of the day. (I did too, but from laughing)

As a boy of the ‘50s, he wouldn’t have survived me and my 22 if sitting on a log at distance.

It is especially painful when the bits you never expose to the Sun get scorched.
