It’s totally full: 50% H₂O, 39% N₂, 10.5% O₂ and 0.5% other gasses.

There’s 2 kinds of people in the world. Those that can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Ok already! Some may have spilled on my way up the hill to give it to you.

There are also those who are just bad at making estimates/bad at math.

Some of us would like to know it’s history – at least it’s recent history.

Was it recently full? Was it recently empty and water poured into it?

Has it always been this way?

You really shouldn’t make judgments without knowing it’s past and what it’s been through. What is the motive of the one asking the question?

And there are some who plain ol drink it

Those are the fractionally challenged.

And some that would ask you to kindly finish filling it cuz they’re thirsty.

And the overly pessimistic think that glass is quarter full of Bud Light

No, they’re just bad at estimating volume.

It depends on whether you’re adding liquid or removing liquid…

That Guru seems like he’s full of it.

Half full or half empty of what?

While the pessimists and the optimists are arguing the opportunist drinks the glass.

And the one with the empty glass is thirsty.

I see it as time to order more.

When I was a kid, my friends and I decided to sneak some of my Dad’s whiskey. I thought of topping the bottle off with some water, but I just decided to leave it alone and hope he’d just think he drank it himself.

But soon, Dad called me over and said, “This whiskey bottle is half-empty! What’s the meaning of this?”

Thinking fast, I replied, “I guess it means you’re a pessimist!”

WRONG! 3/4 full is not optimistic, it is Fact! Unless the glass is 1/2 full as in the drawing above, then the sayer is insane…

It’s two thirds full.

Without knowing its previous state, it’s simply half a glass of water.

I feel the need to point out that the glass is half empty if it started out full, and half full if it started out empty.
