The Huns apparently don’t observe July 4.

Thus far it seems that only one dwelling was lost to a fire and a few grass fires were started. I’ll have to check the roof for damage later on today.

I heard quite a lot of fireworks last night, but did’t smell any. New city ordinances force folks to cut short their displays. I know my doggie thanks the city leaders, right now.

Oooh but that air quality though…..

AQI at my house yesterday was 7. This morning because of fireworks in the area, it’s 158.

Air pollution increased by 900%.

I had a roommate whose family name meant “smoked”. The family was given that name by the King of Spain during the Moorish invasion. When beseiged by Moors, he set fire to his own castle and everyone escaped under cover of the the smoke.

Maybe Id is down wind from Canada. With all the smoke from wild fires, I’m California dreaming.

The smoke filled air was real the next day :-(
