Tell them since $25 isn’t enough, they get nothing.

Plus the cost of the landline

Never EVER donate to a call center. Contact an organization that you know and trust. Get a receipt! Otherwise, most likely, you’re throwing your money away. If you want to help, be sure that you help.

Must be the local police organization.

I have long recommended keeping an air horn and a set of industrial earmuffs near the phone for just such opportunities.

Donate once, they put your number on the “will donate list” and sell your number to a dozen other "charities ".

We have an IP land line—it is the one we use the most rather than our cells. In fact the only reason we use our cells for is texting, directions, and the occasional phone call. Plus our IP line has an easy to remember number.
