Mutt and Jeff was the first daily comic strip, having made its debut in 1907. It was a strip that President Eisenhower mentioned he read regularly. “Bozo” (not to be confused with Bozo the Clown, which it preceded), and a strip that is also carried by GoComics, was the world’s first pantomime comic strip, having appeared in the Richmond (Virginia) Times-Dispatch on a weekly basis from at least as early as May 1925 until its daily syndication by the Chicago Sun-Times in 1945.
