I didn’t get anything when I retired. The company said it was the same as quitting. I was hoping to get laid off. I would’ve gotten eight weeks severance pay plus unemployment.

I used to eat at my desk, then go to my car for 20 minutes of half-sleep.
You know, to this day I can’t figure out if getting a watch at the retirement party is a prize or a dig. Does anyone do that any more?
It’ll be a Mickey Mouse watch. And it’s always beer o’clock. burp. :)
