Maybe check the material the drone was made out of.
I can vouch for how hot it’s been around my area.
Meanwhile, I’m wearing jeans and long sleeves because it’s in the 60s. It will warm up to the 70s, but not a typical August day here in the Northeast.
Must be in the southeast.
Got too close to a bunch of solar panels?
Maybe Icarus was using old Lithium batteries.
its been a cold summer here. barely got over 90.

I fly drones commercially. FAA regs require a person be at least 13 years old to fly a drone. It would have been more plausible if Peter was flying it.
The heat will get anything.
Maybe it got too close to Moscow… ☺
Could be Arizona, California, Nevada. High today where I live is supposed to be 110F.
Next time bathe it in sunscreen.
The ancient Greeks would’ve tried appeasing the Gods instead of denying that the Gods had sent August heat to punish them for something.
Or maybe they would’ve blamed Zeus having sexy times with someone else’s fair maiden daughter(s) again….
That drone must’ve been made of Chinesium.
“Fly, On your way, Like an eagle, Fly as high, As the sun…”
