At a school where I taught, there was a Southeast Asian refugee family who ate worms. They would buy a can of worms from the bait machine (Yes, that is a real thing.), then take them home and put them in a pan of cornmeal. The worms would crawl around in the cornmeal for a week or so, which would clean them out and also give them a sweet flavor. Then they were cut into pieces and fried.
Our Golden Coral’s Early Bird Special costs $5 less. So far, there are no worms as an entre. I’m going there, today. I’ll look, though chicken is on my menu.

Wouldn’t that be three early birds? No matter how ‘early’ the bird is, no single bird can come out of three eggs.

I’d say it’s gone with the worms.

He might know it’s a joke, but the visual can cause a person to lose their appetite. I’d probably be able to ignore the visual, but not everyone can.

Brutus, no sense of humor – or just too much of a loser to have one? That boss of his, might make me lose mine.
