Overheard conversation at tutoring center:6 year old: “I just don’t want to be here.”Mom: “I know, but it’ll be good for you. You get to learn things.”6 year old: crying “But I already know everything!”

News today may be concise (15 second sound bites) but certainly not to the point.

“A man who does not read a newspaper is uninformed. A man who reads a newspaper is misinformed.” Mark Twain.

Twain and I have the same sentiments on the media and Congress.

My brief dabblings in journalism when I was about Paige’s age were also doomed by my inability to comprehend why they insisted on brevity. I just had so much to say, and did not want to be misunderstood.

You need to know how to lie and make crap up. That’s the only requirement to work for any newspaper.

“Why do you think we have such short conversations each day?”

“And besides, Miss Sharpie, is too presumptious”…

Does Miss Sharpie give hurricane advice?

Then she can collaberate with the fashion columnist , Ms. Image and together they can be " Sharper Image."
