Waiting for them to bring back the nickel matinee.

We stopped going to the theater years ago. Way too many obnoxious people, too expensive and mediocre movies.

Barbie set the record for the biggest opening for a film directed by a woman.

Add another $12 for popcorn and drinks.

Sneak in some boxed wine.

UH HUH!

Yeah, but what about the Large bucket of Pop Corn and gallon size soft drink? Huh?

In an experiment the AMC theater chain tried charging more for better seats. Those seats went empty and they will be reverting to single pricing in those test markets. They also tried differential pricing for various movies based on popularity of the movie. The Batman was the first movie they tried this with. Lower overall sales have told them this is not a good idea in this day of streaming. I rented The Batman for home watching. It was not as expensive and more enjoyable than an in theater experience. YMMV.

I presume they’re not going to splurge on the “Barbenheimer” double feature experience.

I haven’t been to a movie theater since around the mid 1990’s.

And a $5 charge to have some dummy constantly kick the back of your seat.

There was a .99-cent theater in town when I was in college. Gone are those days.
