Grammar Rant: It rankles my bones that grammarians insist on saying that infinitives have subjects in the objective case. Grammatical subjects are the very definition of the subjective case; see, it’s even in the name. I prefer to parse this construct as an object (“me” and a modifier “to . . .”).
