I’ve taught at more than a dozen colleges/universities. (An adjunct’s life is not a happy one… to quote W. S. Gilbert.) Have seen colleges that still had good reputations despite their academic standards having gone in the toilet, and colleges doing a far better job of preparing students than people in the community believed based on what had happened years earlier.

I thought Zonker got into Walden because it was the lowest ranked SAT school in the US…lol

I went to trinity college in Hartford CT. a small liberal arts college with about 1,800 kids. BUT of the 7 colleges in the Hartford area we were the only one with frat’s. Meaning come Saturday night every college aged kid in the area descended on the school.

In the early 80’s we got an honorable mention of Playboy’s list of top party schools.

I get mail ‘’pre selected for a prestige credit card’’ and they want me to fill out an application form with my entire life history.

If I’m a mystery, I have to wonder how I was selected.

If this doesn’t work out for Walden, they could transition to a for-profit prison!

Money, or lack thereof, tends to bring about many changes. Few of them good.
