There are birds in England that learned to pry paper or aluminum caps off of milk bottles, cockatoos in Australia that lift the lids on garbage bins…

Birds can become very dependant on humans. Beside the park where I launch my canoe, a lady likes to feed the ducks. Most days when I return from a paddle, a mother duck will bring her flock of about 10 ducklings to peck my bare feet. Although the ground is littered with apples from two different trees, the ducks won’t touch them unless I chew an apple and spit it into my hand. Then they will flock to eat the applesauce; and it saves my feet.

The good news is: If your singing wakes Jimbo up, He’ll Share.

The Bad news? He’s having Fried Chicken for lunch.
