They can’t be too far in the woods if they are still getting a cell signal. Just follow SIRI or Alexa, and you will be just fine, unless that is how you got lost in the first place.
I have a story where the American explorers are at a peasant village in Egypt, far from the big cities of the Nile delta. They’re trying to discover a mysterious phenomenon mentioned by Brit soldiers during WW II. They try to explain what they’re hoping to find and one of the peasants suggests, “Are you looking for the place where cell phones don’t work?”
Always wondered why the crew of Land of the Giants never went to the library and researched where they actually were. Even the Professor and Skipper knew the coordinates of Gilligans Island Seeing that it was only a 3 hour tour and the radio worked perfectly that means they were only 20-30 miles from Mainland Hawaii, and just a couple of miles to area islands, as people have shown up on rowing boats and surfboarder and swimmers that got knocked over board. So on the highest peak, which they do have cliffs and a Volcano on a clear day with Mr. Howells binoculars they should see at least one of these other islands.
Not dissimilar to the time my wife and I were looking for our hotel in Texas and, three times in row, the GPS took us to a cemetery and announce ‘You have arrived at your destination’.
GPS is great. My ‘08 GMC Canyon’s speedometer isn’t easy to read. So, I found a digital speedometer app on my smartphone. Now I have a bright, east to see, GPS driven speedometer to guide my driving.

Couldn’t you fly up there to see where you’re at or are you one of those grounded buzzards?

Yeah, if the GPS says you’re really lost, you are in trouble.

As long as Broomie’s iPad gets a signal, you’re not “really, really lost,” despite what the snarky machine claims.
More importantly, the whole Enchanted Forest is home! Relax, guys….
