They canât be too far in the woods if they are still getting a cell signal. Just follow SIRI or Alexa, and you will be just fine, unless that is how you got lost in the first place.
I have a story where the American explorers are at a peasant village in Egypt, far from the big cities of the Nile delta. Theyâre trying to discover a mysterious phenomenon mentioned by Brit soldiers during WW II. They try to explain what theyâre hoping to find and one of the peasants suggests, âAre you looking for the place where cell phones donât work?â
Not dissimilar to the time my wife and I were looking for our hotel in Texas and, three times in row, the GPS took us to a cemetery and announce âYou have arrived at your destinationâ.
GPS is great. My â08 GMC Canyonâs speedometer isnât easy to read. So, I found a digital speedometer app on my smartphone. Now I have a bright, east to see, GPS driven speedometer to guide my driving.

As long as Broomieâs iPad gets a signal, youâre not âreally, really lost,â despite what the snarky machine claims.
More importantly, the whole Enchanted Forest is home! Relax, guysâŠ.
