Reminds me of Rose Nyland (Golden Girls) she was proudly showing Sofia that she’d finished the puzzle she’d been working on, Sofia replied: “So? It took you 9 months!” To which Rose replied: “the box said 3 to 6 years!”
Idky it reminded me lol I guess Monty misunderstanding what a beach book is and literally reading a “Beach” book and Rose also misunderstanding what was meant (shrugging)
That’s funny. He’s reading a Beach book about beaches….. Shades of Kramer writing a coffee table book about coffee tables……… which, btw, had folding legs which turned it into a miniature coffee table.
Beaches is not what I’d call “a beach book” (despite any perceived irony). It’s gotta be some kind of easily-digested fiction, whether thriller, sci-fi, or romance, or some other genre….

As the tanning salon owner said, “Life’s a beach and then you dye.”

Books are for quiet evenings and poor weather days that prevent outdoor activities. Make time for both. Enjoy the beach, not the book.

I can’t read a book in the sun. It’s like standing " nose to nose" with someones nuclear white LED headlights.

Could take a while. Praia Do Cassino is the longest beach in the world.

I’m a Seaside Park guy. Far enough from the Heights for peace and quiet, but close enough to go enjoy the entertainment.

It’s not easy finishing a book on the beach when you keep getting tide up.
