The Poconos are indeed going to get wet this morning as a cold front comes through. So will Philadelphia.

We know the Biblical flood never occurred, because there were great civilizations thriving during that time. They kept good records, and neglected to mention they were all wiped from the face of the earth. The Chinese (Neolitic Dynasty), The Egyptians (Dynasties 4,5 & 6), Mesopotamians (Early Dynastic Period), Sumerians (Early Dynastics IIIa & IIIb), Peruvians (Norte Chico Civilization) and many more were all present. We find a continuous line of culture, construction, art and historical records that runs through the time Noah’s flood was supposed to have happened.

Scout camp – ten days – 8 were GREAT – rain on day 9 that flooded all of the tents – packed up and left on day 10 – school bus on a muddy, winding road with drop off and no railing – we cheered and clapped when we got down to flat land and thanked the driver for a super job…

My daughter had 10 days at Girl Scout horse camp where it was too hot (+100F) to ride horses. There was a lot of bathing, brushing, and scooping the horses, though.

As if you can’t enjoy a good rainstorm….it’s a whole lot of fun with lightning blowing up trees around you.

It’s a bit of irony that this strip, which may have been drawn many weeks ago, was published on the very day that a category 3 hurricane made landfall on the west coast of Florida.

In the original flood, the animals and humans were safely on the ark before the rain started.
