When I visit a new cat, I first offer my hand for them to sniff, then the forehead between the ears to give a nice rub. Rarely a tickle under the chin. One is a real winner then when a belly rub is asked for.
I did notice something interesting (Well, to me anyway) while I was banned from the comments. I use two different browsers, and Ten Cats is one of the homepages on both browsers (I have good reasons for this). If I was logged in to GC on either browser then the comment count indicating number only counted the number of primary posts, and did not include the replies to said posts in the number count. If I wasn’t logged in (I used to leave one instance logged out for testing to see If I could post comments) then the comment count included all of the replies. In both cases Gweedo’s posts still didn’t increment the count.
It has turned hot here! I love warm and even very warm weather, but this is almost too much even for me. And if it’s too hot for me, it’s TOO HOT!! Not whining, you understand. I feel that we are actually very lucky here. The last time we hit 100 degrees F was July of 2012. We hit 98 degrees yesterday. The heat index reached at least 112 degrees. I’m still not complaining because I know that many of you have seen that as your actual temperature. So, even though it is 3:00 in the morning and it is 81 degrees and it will be hard to sleep (I’m going to bed in a few minutes), I’m still not going to complain. I still say that we are lucky because this is just a couple days of oppressive heat and it’s NOTHING compared to what some of you have been seeing. It’s supposed to be nearing the 100 degree mark again today, but after that, we will have a big cool down. But now I have had a taste of what some of you have suffered through and I have to admit, it isn’t easy! Too hot to work in the yard or even take a walk. The constantly running AC won’t do my electric bill any good, but most days this summer, I haven’t even run the AC. So, I still consider myself lucky. And I’m sending wishes that everyone who has been suffering such unbearable heat will get a reprieve soon! Like NOW!!!
My husband was watching one of those real crime shows. They caught the murderer because the victim had been put in his car trunk. She’d hugged her cat before she left the house & some of the cat hairs fell off into the trunk. I never leave the house without cat hairs on my clothing!
Friend of mine celebrated the second anniversary of getting his dog by posting a picture of himself wearing a T-shirt saying “This isn’t dog hair on my shirt. It’s beagle glitter.”
Who is this? Whoever she is, she must know Annie quite well. Probably a friend or a relative. My mom has a pillow that says “No outfit is complete without cat hair.” How true. On another note, saw a junco, a squirrel, and two sparrows while out walking today.

Good morning all. No cat pictures or videos I’m sad to say, the PTB’s were quite clear on that point.

Considering she takes care of ten cats, I believe it.
