This is probably the most savage line in the entire comic:

“What do we say when we see a cow?-Hey cow, stop being so boring!"

Alice and Petey’s lines in the second panel were the best.

I always told my kids that all the cows were named Bob, so the farmer only had to call one name to get them back in the barn…

Once watched a U2b video of some guy in an empty field playing “Royals” by Lorde on a trombone – then a stampede came running to see what it was. Nope – not boring at all

My kids have a game they call “Who has the most cows?” When you pass a field on your side of the car, you get all the cows on that side. Our only problem was that, driving through the heart of Virginia, most of the cows seemed to be on only one side of the road.

’Twas in the Alician era that appreciation of cud chewing cows in a pastoral setting began to wane. Violence was soon on the rise, as a picky eater chewing off his arm became what passed for entertainment.

I loved the fact that Mom’s reply to “This scenery is boring” is not “We can’t change the scenery,” but rather, “No, it’s not.”
