No, fall isn’t shorter but it seems to pass more quickly (as does everything else) because we’re older.

Maybe you should’a called it “autumn” in their presence, and not “fall.”

It will be 80 next week.

A pair of trees behind the office where I worked would go from fully leafed to bare in a single day.

Obviously this is the work of Pop Clutch, trying to kill Ed in revenge. He needs to try by using something more lethal than leaves.

What? Not one single leaf left in the tree to bedevil Cranky? Talk about the boat left the dock and Tomas’ was still in the parking lot.

One year, when I still bothered to rake leaves, I was standing with my back to our black walnut tree when I heard a “WHUMP”. I turned around to see the black walnut had dropped all its leaves at once.

Wow! That was fast!

This comic strip is beautiful and funny. Even the lettering in the name “CRANKSHAFT” is excellent. The characters, the background, the fence, the snow. Wow. And Wow! Just Wow. – Okay, another toke on my hookah and I’m off to Pickles.
