How did comics show an idea before there were light bulbs ?

I bet he stole that from a firefly when the firefly switched to LED. (He won’t be able to replace it when it burns out.)

Interesting (Cool?): As I scroll(ed) this comic up and/or down today (especially if I use the wheel on the mouse), the rays coming out of the light bulb seem to kind of flicker or blink.

Greg always knows the team will flock to his bright and hot ideas!
