He learned his medical knowledge from Wikipedia, and his bedside manner from Dr. Gregory House, it seems. And shaving habits as well. Or are those things on his face supposed to be zits?
Dr. Doofus reminds me of the personnel we met when we were shopping for suits for my husband lately. Now granted, he’s hard to fit. But we went to the well-known men’s store where he’s been buying his suits for years; where well-dressed salesmen step up to greet you, whisk out the suit you ask for, get you fitted and send you on your way (with way more out of pocket than expected but with a good suit) in very little time. Things had….changed. First, the staff was all female, except for one unkempt male behind the register whom I wouldn’t allow to dress my cat. Then, one of the women came up and said they didn’t carry my husband’s size (he’s 6’2" and over 250) but suggested we try their larger store in a nearby town. We went there. Half the staff looked like they had come to work directly from their flight home from spring break in Daytona; the other half like they were dressing for a night in one of the dicier bars in a less-reputable part of town. They had a coat that fit but not the pants. We did finally find a real men’s store. The man who helped us was dressed casually, but he knew his merchandise, could advise my husband on fit and got us taken care of. YIKES!

Monty responds: And apparently, you failed “Beside Manner 101” at medical school.
