We do not know what fruit Eve took from a tree, the Bible does not tell us. The apple is artistic tradition, similar to images of a red Satan with a pitchfork and a tail.

BTW, the artwork showing Jesus are likely incorrect. Each country tends to show Jesus in their ethnic image. Images of the European drawn Jesus are usually different that the American drawn Jesus. Considering that Jesus was a Jew who lived in the desert for 33 years, the white, blue eyed, image most Americans see, is likely no correct.

I wish all teachers were as open-minded.

If Eve had not taken the apple, we would still be living like naked animals, with no understanding of good or evil.

I remember that collar and that hair style.

I wonder how many times as a child I saw similar scenes without realizing it, because I was a boy and it didn’t concern me.

Art has symbolism, if you know how to see it at its core.

It wasn’t an apple, that story is for children. It was something much more like needing experience. Perhaps testing God or maybe they just needed to learn and grow spiritually so they could return to God. Whatever, but it wasn’t a piece of fruit. BTW, snakes don’t talk.

This sounds like a variation on, “An apple for the Teacher”.
