    i’m still with satchel, Rob doesn’t smell like a newly mowed lawn when he goes to the bathroom and bucky could use a mint when he goes to the litterbox

    The thing about aromatherapy is that smelling a pleasant scent can take you away from a mild depression. The problem is that, by continually using a scent to “treat” depression, your brain eventually associates the scent with depression. Instead of a treatment, it becomes a trigger.

    Dogs have about 220 million olfactory receptors; some breeds have more. Humans have only about 5 million. Satchel could turn his diffuser to the lowest level, plug it in at some out of the way corner, and Rob would likely not even notice the smell, while Satchel could easily detect it.
