What, they’re not even going to consider Bear’s claim for custody of Jones?

I’d be pretty Frosted about those Flakes at Social Services.

The extended Wallet family has a long history of adopting children starting with Skeekix and his sister Judy inclding Clovia’s son, Rover.

How will they “bear up” when the parents are found and they have to give him up?

Wait, what? After a little light mauling those government agents have just given up on reclaiming this human child from its ursine captor? The America I believe in doesn’t negotiate with terrorists — or, should I say, bearroris[a giant vaudeville hook drags me off stage]

So the Agency in charge of child welfare, leaves the kid with the person who found him, who also hangs around with vicious bears?

How hard can this be to find his parents? Did he get lost while visiting the forest? Did he wander from home? Is his name actually Jones? Did his parents abandon him? Am I trying to make sense of a comic strip where some characters age and some don’t?

Did anybody see that shark?

The kid now looks older than Hoogie.

Bad news is that bear is going to a zoo or a lab.
