It can be SO inconvenient when the July Bug shows up in September.

Today’s mosquitoes are so tough that they just catch a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz from the spray.

Monty sleeps with his glasses on?

Try the oil of peppermint bug spray.

Time for the sticky tape.

It looks like he has used that spray so often that it has turned him into a 3-headed mutant.

The fly is driving Monty cuckoo (reference to yesterday’s strip).

This just happened to me about three hours ago. Except I used a squirt bottle of alcohol.

A drugged sleep is unlikely to be very restful. Lucky for Monty that spray is only insect-potency, or he’d be dead fish dead by now….

Turn up the AC. The cold temp will ground your bug friend.

That could be the first bug’s buddy that is there for the funeral.

How else would you indicate that he’s in a dark room?

He sleeps with his glasses on?

A story the counselors at Scout camp used to tell the first-timers: “Be careful down by the canoes. Yesterday a couple of mosquitoes grabbed another tenderfoot and were discussing whether to eat him there or haul him back into the woods, and the other one said ‘Better eat him here. If we drag him home, the big ones will take him away from us.’”

Get a swatter, use the swatter, kill the bzzzy thing and get some sleep.

At least he remembered his sprayers before bed.

When I was a kid I had a pet gecko. I figured it would eat something only if the something moved. I learned to hit flies with the flyswatter just hard enough to stun them. Mr. Gecko would gobble them up. The problem is that to this day I can only hit flies to stun them.

There’s always the couch……

A lethal dose for a human is one tenth the amount a fly can safely absorb.

Monty, the solution is so simple and it works every time.

1. turn on a light in an unused room.

2. Wait for the insect to fly toward the light.

3. Turn off the light in the room and quickly close the door.

Do not use anything indoors with ‘thrin’ in the ingredients. It is not safe. regardless of the scent put into it. Friend of mine was sick for weeks after using a lavender scented pyrethrin spray she purchased at Wal-effing-mart.

Pretty much anything concentrated can be toxic. I use a spray that is derived from citrus peels but still have to open windows and doors and use fans to clear the fumes.

Glasses on in bed???
