I love Gremlins. I think the midnight rule is simply for you time zone and that is that. If the clock can legitimately read midnight or after, it counts, with dawn likely being the cutoff point. The very word Mogwai implies they are demons so you can explain it all with magic

There were some gremlins in the rules of bedtime.

Next bedtime isn’t for another 22 hours. Kevin can sleep during class.

Ah yes, a child’s favorite past time: finding loopholes around and arguing about your bedtime to eventually conk out on the couch since your developing kiddie metabolism won’t allow you to stay awake past 10 PM anyway. Such fond memories!

Nowadays, I have a hard time falling asleep before midnight. Mainly because I fall asleep during the midday or I just can’t get seem to sleep until I’m absolutely tired.

I’ve seen all three of those movies. They never make it clear exactly what hours to not feed them though, do they? I know they say after midnight. But there has to be a time when it’s OK for them to eat again, right?

Eating before or after midnight gives you nightmares
