That seems about right, but not just in retirement homes. It happens in families, churches, bars, jobs, and just about anywhere else.
It also rather exemplifies one of the reasons why I have little patience with the starry-eyed progressives. They seem to think that if only we’d all just be nice to one another everything would be hunky-dory. Their naïveté is profound, and it too often blinds them to the reality that a significant portion of the human race is NOT nice and never will be. The world is full of Murdochs, and it’s full of the suckers who are susceptible to his kind. After all, crazy is too often contagious. Moreover, trying to force people to “be nice” is a fools errand, or worse. It’s can seriously backfire, as we’ve far too often seen in recent years.
Murdoch doesn’t much care about mindless propaganda one way or the other. He likes that it creates a big flow of money into his coffers. If we the people watched an awful lot of… say, circus stunts, that’s what he’d offer.
My guess it would be the same forMike if he ended up in a home mainly inhabited by conservatives. I try to avoid direct contact with the partisan because politics tends to make people confrontatational.
Any retirement home that would let Murdoch in is one I’d stay away from. For his crimes against humanity, he should spend his last days in the kind of facility that has bars on its windows and doors, and is locked up tighter than a Republican’s wallet.
They have a lot of nerve accusing the mainstream press (which has an actual code of ethics) of being biased, when they have people on there like Tucker, who spouts lie after lie. Fox is not and never has been news. It is an entertainment outlet some people have gotten confused with real news.
Morning Mike, that’s too funny, but sadly very true. Good thing he has enough money from his career of lying to stay away from the good people who live in retirement homes.
I read somewhere that they had to disconnect Fox from the TV’s in a retirement home because the patient’s blood pressure would spike whenever Faux was on.
I guffawed and then I quit. Funny and yet that’s all that makes the man, his employees, and the fans feel good.
“Trump is unloved in his own house. A figure of ridicule, a theatrical creation, he is almost sympathetic. He was told by the greedy and the outright stupid that he would make a swell president. The Liar’s Paradox has spun out of control, with liars lying to a liar who believed the lie. What would that be called? Fox News, I think.” – Richard Cohen

It’s a close call, Mike, but I think Clay got you beat today on this one.
