The thuglicans practice serial monomania. Because they’re too… simple… to understand “do more than one thing at a time”. Too bad their mania is never anything but a costly problem.

How hard is it not to become a bought politician? What influence could he possibly have to sell?

When Republicans commit crimes, other Republicans make excuses or outright denials.

When Democrats commit crimes, it is Democrats who call on them to resign.

It is Democrats who are most loudly calling on Bob Menendez to step down. Menendez whined that he was being targeted because he is Latino. But one of the loudest voices calling for him to step down is Latina Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) who is far more fluent in Spanish language (and Latino culture) than Menendez.

Bob Menendez, who is up for reelection in 2024, should just step down and let Democratic New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy appoint a replacement who can run for an actually win to keep the seat in 2024.

On the bright side (for Menendez), he does have one defender: Republican George Santos (or George Devolder or Anthony Devolder or Anthony Zabrovsky or Kitara Ravache, or whatever his/her/their real name turns out to be).

A Democrat do wrong? OtherDemocrats call for his removal.

A Republican do wrong? Other Republicans rush to kiss his a$$.

Well, the FBI are trying to cover up for Hunter and Joe Biden, so they should be freaked out.

Why 2 gold bars, instead of a bunch of small, unmarked bills? Would be easier to money launder.

A U.S. Senator can be impeached after a Senate trial. If Menendez refuses to step down from his committee positions, which he is supposed to do under U.S. regulations in such a circumstance, then Senator Schumer needs to initiate such as action.

Probably should be going after Menendez as a stand alone; this comes off as a bit of a whataboutism.

Corruption will happen with some politicians. That’s unfortunate. How their party addresses it speaks volumes.

Menendez chooses to remain silent as anything he says can be used against him in a court of law.

Sure. Why not? It worked for Trump in 2022.

I think part of Menendez wanted to be caught—many kleptomaniacs have a hidden desire to be caught and punished. Traitor Trump, on the other hand, didn’t want to be caught but keeps adding to the mountain of evidence against him every time he opens his idiotic mouth.

I still say the Dems should use him as a bargaining chip to get Santos out of Congress!

This WOULD have to happen. But they’ve been sniffing around Menendez for years so I guess this didn’t come as a total surprise.

Menendez’s wife was referred to as “flat broke” on the news story I saw. Did he pay for those too?

Sent a note to my Dem rep to “encourage” Menendez to resign – don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Multiple Democrats have said he should resign. A stark contrast to the Republigoons.
