All hail the flag of autumn leaves!

Falling leaves are important in the cartoon world. I guess it’s refreshing to pretend that’s a concern for a few moments.

Had a bit of wind earlier in the week and the first major fall of leaves has occurred. Now it’s raining, leaching the tannin from the oak leaves and staining everything.

“Please help me I’m falling.”

NOW, we have a hint that Kevin Fagan identifies as Ralph!

They have been there long time, but now my favorite thing in this strip is to notice the house flags.

At least the leaf didn’t fall off the flag.

I remember as a kid (way back) we would burn our leaves at the curb…loved that smell! (and eventually became a wildland firefighter…must be some connection there?)

They’re eavesdropping on his leaves dropping.

I don’t get the whole leaf raking thing. Just run the mower over them. Makes for good mulch.
