We’ve seen what Joe said and did. I’d be amazed if the orange mistake did anywhere near as well. Though I’m apparently immune to his grift-aura (at least from over here on my side of the TV), so my rating of them may be quite different from yours.

Jeff, Joe was invited by the UAW. He expressed support for them.

Trump was invited by corporate execs.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump showing up for striking auto workers?

Joe Biden went to a UNION plant and became the first sitting president in history to join a picket line in support of striking union workers.

Donald Trump will be going to a NON-UNION plant to try to spin a story of how electric vehicles are a ploy to cut work for union workers.

ANTI-UNION Trump of course gets it wrong, as usual.

The workers are calling on auto manufacturers to shorten the work week from a five-day forty-hour work week to a FOUR-DAY 32-hour work week, while increasing pay by 40%.

Electric cars have fewer working parts, are easier to manufacture, and are less likely to break down. But they generate the same (or more) profits to manufacturers. So if they produce the same profits for less work, the corporate officers and investors should gain, and so should the workers.

Workers gave up enormous concessions to bail out the industry after the Bush economic meltdown. After the Obama and Biden recoveries (Trump became only the second president in the last century, joining Herbert Hoover, to leave office with fewer jobs, while Biden added more new jobs than any president in history in just his first two years), auto manufacturers are now enjoying record 40% increase in profits off the labor of auto workers. Workers are now demanding a corresponding increase in compensation.

Record profits and obscene top management compensation = wage theft plus consumer price gouging.

Workers are the ones who make the cars. They deserve an equal and proportional share in the gains.

Evidently the UAW leadership is less-then-thrilled with the head magat . . .

“United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain took a swipe at former President Trump, saying he serves a “billionaire class,” a day ahead of Trump’s visit to Detroit where he will speak to union workers.

When asked on CNN about the former president’s trip to Detroit, Fain said, “I see no point in meeting with him because I don’t think the man has any bit of care about what our workers stand for, what the working class stands for.”

“He serves a billionaire class and that’s what’s wrong this country,” Fain continued."

Everything is a contest

Biden says a 32-hour work week and get paid for 40 is o.k. Biden’s spending resulted in record inflation making both new cars and used hard to buy for hard working Americans. Biden is pushing these Green New Deals, including EV cars. Ford lost billions on them, yet here’s Biden on the picket line rallying against some of the largest employers in the country. I wish he could see how ridiculous he looks.

The one thing politicians do well, pandering for votes.

Biden continues to promote his inflationary policies by supporting actions that will raise the price of automobiles by thousands of dollars. Here we show a picture of Mr. Biden stumbling down the steps of Air Force One while attending an event in Detroit.

In other news President Trump is under continued persecution by our politically-motivated, two-tiered, weaponized justice department – Fox News. /s

We cannot afford to increase wages. It’s inflationary … Unless it’s OUR wages.

I just watched the video of Biden taking the short flight of stairs and slipping and almost falling (again). Such an embarrassment when he departs from the belly of the plane. Independents see how weak he is and will vote accordingly.

Joe showing up at a union strike demeans the office of the president. Joe would be better off explaining the benefits of unions to workers as a whole. Everyone of those white collar, non union, salaried workers, pay and benefits is based on a union settlement. In most cases.. what “they” got, and a touch more.

I gotta wonder if Biden and Trump would be out there if there wasn’t an election set for next year.

Swing and a miss

Sad, neither of these guys would be anywhere near the strikers unless they thought they could buy some votes that way.

But…. but several weeks ago Biden stated that he thought that there wasn’t going to be a strike.

I hate it when these politicians uses current events like protests rallies and natural disasters, where the media are focused on, and use them to get people’s attention, and make their voices heard, to make the country better by voting for them. :(

And let us not forget how trump has stiffed most of those who work/worked for him all the years his been an adult.

Everything Trump did during his reign was anti-union. How stupid does he think the working class is?
