I mean, I guess it’s at least mot Nate talking to Czerwicki. It is however the Chester at detention joke (which is as different from every other Chester joke as a series of Mr. Magoo cartoons). I guess I appreciate that Nate referenced the reason this is an arc, but like… eh?

so much hate lately! this is so peirce writes girlfriend arcs people, you expect it to be any different after so many years? maybe he’ll do something new, though most likely he’ll stick to what he always does because its how he WANTS to do it. if youre a fan of big nate and expecting peirce to write differently than how he has for the past 30 years, are you even really a fan? isnt this the writing you supposedly fell in love with? i get that it might get stale for you after a while, but if its not your thing just MOVE ON! im sorry but it really upsets me how people feel so entitled as to grade the strip everyday. i like daphne and want to see her as much as the next guy but jesus, im trying to appreciate every strip at this point because peirce said he’s stopping it soon
