Puppies and kittens are always looking for a new toy for themselves. They have no clue that those items they just demolished can be dangerous for them or had been important to us. They learn, over time. I would guess most of us own items with a few teeth marks in them that we just can’t give up.

They’re not so bad.
When I was a teen, my mom got a bulldog puppy that ate the legs of most our furniture. My bed, my desk, the dining room table, the chairs.
Oh, and remember those old “console” TVs that were essentially big pieces of furniture? Yeah, he ate the legs of that. Big crash.
