Poor animals. We do whatever we want with them. They have no say.

Sad, sad strip- but artfully drawn. Thanks a lot, I will keep this one.

My take is that the poor pupper has been at the shelter for a while, and dreams that this human_ will select him. But dreams are dashed.

This made me cry, but the dream came true for our Amber when we brought her home.

I drew this strip to remind everyone there are animals in shelters all over the country, waiting to be be adopted. To have frisbee games, rope tugs and walks with their adopted family. Rescued pets have so much to give us and make the BEST companions!! -Adrian Raeside

All of the cats I’ve shared my life with were street or shelter babies. All have made my life so much richer. Love the strip. Thanks for reminding everyone.

Way to make us all cry. I just don’t understand giving up on a pet.

I’ve sent a link to my local animal shelter. I know they can relate.

I whined at first and teared up but the message/reminder is good. So many need homes. Spay and neuter is so important. Mix breeds that I have adopted have always been great dogs.

We rescued 2 kittens from a feral family in our backyard, this was 10 1/2 years ago. Best kitties ever, they were our therapy cats, now that I’m a widow they mean more to me than ever.

We have only have and ever have had rescued dogs. Might be because we are cheap, but, we have gotten many amazing puppers from the shelter. We have one now in training for competition and we have had him for only 2 months. You never know where you are going to find gold.
